London Day 3

Had an appointment this morning with the curator of the European arms and armour collection at the Wallace Collection. The bus ride from Walworth to Oxford circle was great as it not only took us past many of the major sights, but we also had seats right in front on the top of the double decker bus! Big Ben, Westminster Abby, the Horse Guard, Trafalgar Square, and Piccadilly Circus.

The Wallace was well worth the visit. The arms and armour were great, and the painting collection surprisingly interesting. I still don't care much for Rococo furniture though.

James with suit of armour he's modelling his armour on.

Took the tube across to Paddington Station to meet up with Koos and Sigrid, to hand over a parcel we transported for them. Also found this little bear.

We had a suitably rainy London afternoon, and I still believe that ponchos are the best wet weather gear a photographer can have. Mine was handily, err ... to hand.

Spent the early evening in Hamley's toy shop, all 5 floors of it! And Lego is still awesome.

There were even members of the Royal family present!

And this close-up of the corgi is specially for Pieter:
