London Day 3

Slept late and woke up fairly stiff and sore. Felt better after stretching in the park, and having in the meantime procured oil, and a lighter for the gas stove, we had a good bacon and eggs breakfast. I don't think my feet have ever been this stiff before! I doctored the blisters, taped them up, and reverted to my warm, but padded tekkies.

Due to a London cycle race we couldn't get as far as we would have liked on the bus, however, the extra bit of walk did give us an excuse to go through Covent Gardens market.

We also found a delightfully geeky shop called Forbidden Planet. Dr. Who screw drivers, Star Wars light sabers, Star Trek figures, Luis Royo fantasy art, Marvel graphic novels, Tetris ice cube trays, you name it!

The main part of our day today was the British museum, and the Sutton Hoo exhibit.

We also covered early Britain from stone age to Steel.

We shall return for the mediaeval exhibit!

Had to take the tube back because of the cycle race, and Charing Cross station had some cool posters.

Got home early, had nap, did shopping, and cooked dinner. Sorted finances. Now, I'm going to massage me feet.
